Clean Internet: We block Myspace.com, Here’s why

Posted March 28th @ 3:09 pm by Jeff

Our filtered internet service is called “Clean Internet” and it prevents access to MySpace.com. Several months ago we began receiving complaints from parents about a site called MySpace.com. We, at the time, hadn’t heard much about it. We sure have now. It has been all over the news.

MySpace.com was originally created as a creative outlet for rock bands and independant music labels to spread word of their latest work and to build a fan base. It has evolved into a mix of Blogs, Picture sharing, Personal Ads & social networking.

Firefox: Freedom to Surf in Peace

For those of you who have never heard of FireFox, it’s a free web browser that is published and maintained by the Mozilla Foundation.

Here at InfoWest, we love it; we think it’s the best browser around. It’s the only browser we use on our computers at the office. What makes it so good? It stops popups automatically, and doesn’t allow most spyware to get installed.
